SLZ Inc. and Gaion Sign MOU for AI Drone Project
Digital-twin-based construction technology specialist SLZ announced that in May it signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with drone-platform expert Gaion to “develop and commercialize next-generation AI drone technologies.”
Through this agreement, SLZ aims to integrate its core Agentic AI technology into Gaion’s drone platform to realize an intelligent drone solution capable of autonomous perception, decision-making, goal-setting, and execution. This will move beyond conventional, simple control-focused drone systems and help foster a truly smart-drone ecosystem.
The two companies have agreed to collaborate on supplying domestically produced drone airframes and controller systems powered by Agentic AI, developing specialized solutions for industries such as safety, disaster response, and logistics, jointly participating in government R&D and public-sector projects, and expanding into global markets.
SLZ’s Agentic AI technology goes beyond mere command execution: it autonomously perceives its environment, makes judgments, sets goals, and carries them out—enabling optimal decision-making even in complex scenarios. This capability is expected to play a pivotal role in elevating drone technology from remote control and pre-programmed operations to real-time autonomous functionality.
“Collaborating with Gaion is a milestone in practically expanding the commercial potential of our Agentic AI technology,” said SLZ CEO Jaeheon Jung. “By delivering drone solutions equipped with the high-level judgment capabilities demanded on industrial sites, we will generate competitive results both domestically and globally.”
